Mrs. Griffing, Willie & Mary

Dear Brother & Sisters in Christ,

Let me assure you that it is with no small degree of sorrow that I receive the sad intelligence of your affliction. I was greatly surprised & my heart made sad. My prayer is that Our Father may speedily restore your husband & father, & my Brother in his ministry, to his former health & powers. In the meantime, “Cast thy burden on the Lord & he will sustain thee.” May the Lord bless the affliction to your sanctification.

Your Brother in Jesus,
John Asbury Motter
