Ralph Goodrich's Gravestone

These photographs of the gravestone marking Ralph L. Goodrich's and his second wife, Dora Beebe Goodrich's burial site were taken by Pris Weathers of ArkansasTies.com.

In the foreground in front of the Goodrich gravestone is an iron cross that was placed by the United Daughters of the Confederacy in the early 1900's. The Latin phrase in the center of the cross is the motto of the Confederate States of America, "DEO VINDICE," meaning "God vindicates." Ralph Goodrich served from 1 September 1861 to 24 March 1862 in the Capital Guards, Company A, 6th Arkansas Volunteer Infantry, during the Civil War.
